Willem Brouwer è nato ad Haarlem, Olanda nel 1954, studia architettura in Inghilterra presso l’Università di Bath ed a Venezia presso l’Istituto Universitario di Architettura di Venezia dove si laurea nel 1982. Successivamente ha conseguito un Master in Management presso la Boston University, Massachusetts.
