A very irregular topography, with slopes of between 15% and 30%, and the woody nature of the area, with its profusion of pines and evergreen and deciduous oaks, largely determine the image of the place. The decision to design the recessed niches as retaining walls, producing terraces like the ones used in the past to farm hilly land, served to adapt the project to this singular topography.The terraces are grouped in twos and threes to form enclosures. The fine aggregate used for the paths and the planting of native species, combined with more usual garden trees (palms, planes, cedars, etc.) and shrubs cut into geometric shapes give the place the air of an abandoned garden anchored in the landscape. Facing the walls, a stylized pergola with ivy, jasmine and wisteria serves to create a more private enclosure, at the same time contributing to an overall language for the whole.
