Residential «REEF Residence» Sochi, Russia

Entrance, reception, corridors, elevator’s halls, stairwells, lounge bar

The goal was to design the common spaces in this residence on the seaside that will connect  an exterior architecture, complex interior spaces with different heights and to create timeless luxurious interior with an inner beauty.

Style: timeless influenced by modernism, Russian avant-guard and constructivism. 

The main hero here are the architectural forms, so we use different materials with contrast texture: warm stone for the wall cladding and for a floor, wood and metal panels, travertine, glass, metal and brass for the details. There is minimum of the furniture, but all the pieces are sophisticated and have a sense to be there. On the one side we use simple geometric forms as a triangle, a square and a circle in the pendant lamps, in the ornament of a carpet in the Reception and in the brutalist furniture in our «Black Room» for wine degustation and private events. On the other side we see natural forms of stones in armchairs in the lobby-bar and in the furniture in a guest zone of the reception. 

The elevator’s halls and stairwells have a minimalist, even brutal air. There is nothing superfluous. You can observe stairwell for eternity. 

As a result an interior is timeless and cozy at the same time and gives a sensation of commodity and quiet luxury. It could be on French Riviera, Californian coast or a unique space like this one.
