Casa Bella by B&B Italia, in Miami’s downtown, will marry modern and Mediterranean design codes

Casa Bella overlooks Miami’s Biscayne Bay

Designs have been revealed for a new residential tower in Miami’s downtown that marks the first branded condominium for Italian furniture company B&B Italia. Casa Bella, created in collaboration with developers Related Group and Alta Developers, is set to rise on the doorstep of Biscayne Bay, overlooking the water.

At 55 stories high, the building’s undulating form by architecture firm Arquitectonica is a contemporary foil for its elongated proportions, while interiors by B&B Italia creative director Piero Lissoni, and landscape architecture by Enzo Enea add to the sense of modernity. For Lissoni, it was important to imbue the building with a Mediterranean edge. ‘With Casa Bella, I wanted to realise a very contemporary project, and what is more contemporary than B&B Italia?’ he says.

Jon Paul Pérez, president of Related Group, adds: ‘We’ve controlled this parcel for many years now, and with skyrocketing condo demand and dwindling supply, we are finally ready to move on what will be a neighborhood-defining project. We are in the middle of one of the most robust markets in Related’s history, a trend we expect will pick up further with the launch of Casa Bella.’

The building puts sociability at its heart, with two floors dedicated to amenity spaces, including a wine vault, a private theatre, and co-working spaces. An emphasis on wellbeing is thoughtfully translated into a wellness centre with fitness spaces, yoga and spin rooms, and a spa where residents can get everything from a massage to their hair blowdried.

Other facilities, including a concierge, housekeeping and childcare services, and personal tech support, add convenience. Outside, residents can choose from a 12th-floor pool, private cabanas and lush gardens, as well as a rooftop pool, for a chic respite from the chaos of downtown Miami.

B&B Italia’s designers are on hand to advise prospective residents of Casa Bella’s 312 homes and 24 penthouse apartments about interior choices, with customers able to select everything from personalised furniture pieces to complete furnishing packages, ready for moving straight into. §
