E-Health Valley located in Brussels, Belgium, is a start-up studio and incubator, specialised in the creation, support and scale of new and existing ventures which offer smart and digital healthcare solutions. Designed by mertens-architecten, the renewal of its office building and its extension was completed using high performing carrier panel system Promisol® S Hybrid.

Carrier panel systems offer architects and designers the possibility to add additional storeys to an existing structure without compromising its performance. E-Health Valley grew from two storeys to five. Using a steel frame, the façade is composed of PIR panel Promisol® S Hybrid in 100 mm thickness and an aesthetic skin which ensures the thermal and mechanical performance. To fulfil the architects’ and owners’ vision, ArcelorMittal Construction provided over 50 different sizes of the tailor-made Coque BS in 1,5 mm thickness for the outer skin. The cassette allowed the architect the completion of a modern façade with straight lines that stands out in urban environment. The coating Authentic in Opale colour (white) came to complement this contemporary design.
