这是由妹岛和世设计的日本鹤冈市文化馆，位于日本北部的鹤冈市。妹岛和世于2012年赢得了该项目的竞赛设计，以层层叠叠的白色板块垂吊于轻型钢铁结构之上，形成流动的景观延伸。以中央的大礼堂为中心，其他项目围绕之布局。整个项目只有一层，以便于形成自由通畅的交通流线。该项目还设有演练训练室、更衣室、休息室和咖啡厅。

地下水被储藏和回收，几个自然的半地下水库为室内空间提供自然降温和保温，同时走廊的布局引入自然通风。相较之于混凝土，设计师选择了玻璃作为主要材料，以使人们能够看到远处的群山，电气，机械等房间分布于建筑外部周围，以减少噪音影响，同时易于维护。

further images have been revelead of the tsuruoka city cultural hall in northern japan, designed by kazuyo sejima of SANAA. the scheme, which was chosen as the winning competition entry in 2012, sees sculpted white planes draped over the building’s steel frame, envisioned as a fluid extension of the landscape. articulated around a centrally positioned auditorium, the entire program is spread across a single storey, enabling free circulation and open access throughout the complex. additional programs include a rehearsal and practice rooms, changing facilities, a lounge and a café.

from an environmental perspective, groundwater is stored and recycled on-site while natural subterranean reservoirs naturally cool and heat interior spaces, with hallways positioned to create a natural flow of continuous ventilation. the electrical, mechanical and generator rooms are located in a satellite structure reducing noise levels within the main building and allow easy maintenance.
