Nils Van der Celen has completed a residential project in Hasselt, Belgium. A lot of light and a minimum of materials was the client's wish and the starting point of the project. The material chosen alternates with light oak, concrete and basic colors of white and black, and extends completely throughout the property.

The center of the house is a central block made of light oak veneer. The open-plan kitchen and living space are connected by a continuous and custom closet, including a sink with marble splash walls, a built-in gas fireplace and a hidden TV closet. The completely black cooking marble countertops from Phoenix create an exciting contrast in the bright and fresh interior. The same color scheme applies to the open-plan writing desk, bathroom and bedroom upstairs.
