“设计师的杯子”是寻长设计推出的家居产品系列之一。一套四件,呈现【衣】【食】【住】【行】四个主题。把对传统四大生活基本需要的讨论置于当下,用设计语汇展现我们所理解的生活态度和观念变化,也希望用杯子这种生活器具将简单秩序的设计哲学带到所有人的日常之中。

“Designer’s Cup” is one of the household product series launched by NARMAL. A set of four pieces presents four themes: clothing, food, shelter and means of travel. Put the discussion of the four basic necessities of life in the present, show the change of life attitude and concept we understand with design vocabulary, and hope to bring the simple and orderly design philosophy to everyone’s daily life with the living appliance of cup.

住杯|Zhu Cup
“住杯”是对人们最亲密的空间——家的解读。我们按1:100的比例铺设了一个600*600mm的模数网格,其上设计了三种户型,提出了对房间布局与功能设定的新思路,是鼓励大家发掘并按照自己真实、独有的生活方式去布置自己的居所。
“Zhu Cup” is an interpretation of people’s closest space — home. In the background of the pattern, we laid a 600*600mm modular grid on the scale of 1: 100, designed three types of apartment on it, and put forward a new idea of setting room layout and function, which is to encourage everyone to arrange their own residence according to their true and unique lifestyle.

衣杯|YI Cup
怀着对”简单生活”的认同,以及对”快时尚”带来服装消费理念错位的思考,我们从心而发地觉得:的确不需要拥有那么多衣服,真正舒适好穿才是应该被追求的。在”衣杯”的设计中,我们以”九头身”的比例人为基准,四季为序,用几何化的线条、”无性别主义”的风格呈现了一套足以应对大多日常场合的”基本款”服装。
With the recognition of “Minimalist Lifestyle” and thinking about the dislocation of clothing consumption concept brought by “fast fashion”, we feel from the heart that we really don’t need to have so many clothes. Comfortable and easy to match is what should be pursued. In the design of “YI cup”, we take the proportion of 9-heads fashion figure as the benchmark and the four seasons as the time sequence, and present a set of “The basics” with geometric lines and “unisex” styles, which can meet most daily occasions.

行杯|XING Cup
让行装整理变得简单——设计将行李清单与杯子结合,有了这只”行杯”。使用者可据个人习惯,在预留的空白格中手动补充适合自己的清单内容。使用场景为:准备出行前,随手抄起桌上的”行杯”,开始依照杯身的清单内容整理行装,收好一件就用水性记号笔划掉一项。瓷质使笔迹易于擦洗,反复使用毫无问题。
Make packing simple — the design combines the luggage list with the cup pattern, so there is this “XING Cup”. According to personal habits, users can manually supplement the list contents suitable for themselves in the reserved blank space. Scene: Before getting ready to travel, pick up the “XING Cup” on the table, and start packing according to the contents of the list on the cup. Every time one is packed, one item will be crossed out with a water-based marker. Porcelain makes handwriting easy to scrub, and there is no problem in repeated use.

食杯|SHI Cup
这款创作围绕”食”,杯身展现了一张世界美食地图。底纹对应地球经线,”时区”即”食区”,形象说明了地理物候对各地饮食文化的深远影响。”食杯”地图中标记的文字是该国之代表性菜品名。隐藏的设计点是:图面中出现的,是对标目前在上海确有开设经营的国外餐厅的主打菜品。一些国家终生未必有缘踏足,但希望爱探索尝试的你可以足不出”沪”,打卡世界美食大国,也许只消一次味蕾交锋就足够成为未来前往的动力。
The theme of this cup revolves around “food”, and it shows a map of world cuisine. Background is meridian and “time zone” means “food zone”, which intuitively illustrates the decisive influence of geographical phenology on local food culture. The words in the gourmet map are the national dishes of the countries. The hidden creative point is: What appears in the gourmet map is the representative dishes of foreign restaurants that do operate in Shanghai at present. Some countries may not be destined to visit for life, but hope that those who like to explore and try can “punch in” the world’s gourmet countries without leaving Shanghai. Perhaps only one pleasure of taste buds is enough to become the driving force for future travel.

“设计师的杯子”,在看似普通的”衣食住行”命题设计之下,涉及了四个发于自身生活的关注点。在产品开发层面,尤其考虑了四杯的”套系”概念,以平面图(”住杯”)、立面图(”衣杯”)、剖面图(”行杯”)、总平图(”食杯”)的视角分别表现,这是设计师最熟悉的语言。希望四款杯子除了好用和美,也能为人们带来小乐趣、小便利、小思考、乃至小改变。设计师的杯子——不只设计师会喜欢的杯子。
In the stage of product development, the concept of “series” of four cups is specially considered, which is expressed from the perspectives of plan view (“ZHU Cup”), elevation view (“YI Cup”), section view (“XING Cup”) and general plan view (“SHI Cup”), which is the most familiar language for designers. We hope that the four cups can bring people little fun, convenience, thinking, and even life changes besides being easy to use and beautiful. Designer’s Cup — Not only for designers.
