南顾浦泵闸位于内河沪苏交界处,是安亭地区防汛、除涝、水资源调度规划中城市圩区一项重要控制工程。泵闸管理用房由泵闸机电设备、设备控制、以及办公管理和后勤四部分功能组成,场地位于泵闸主体西南侧河南岸的绿化带内,南侧和一个新建的幼儿园隔路相邻,用地狭长局促;且由于东侧跨河桥梁的预留,整个场地比基地东南角人行入口处外侧的城市道路低了1.6米。如何用建筑操作为这一平庸且受限的场地上的这个基础设施配套项目确立其自身的内在紧密性,并进而为这条被巨大的混凝土泵闸设施所介入的河流及其周围水岸地带赋予积极的影响,成为设计师设计之初就切入思考的重点。
The Pump Sluice Station on Nangupu River, at the junction of the inland river between Jiangsu Province and Shanghai, is an important control project in the polder area in terms of flood prevention, water logging control, water resource scheduling and planning in Anting area. The control house for the station consists of four parts: pump and sluice electromechanical devices, equipment control, office administration and logistics. The site is located at the southwestern side of pump and sluice main body and covering a long and narrow area,in the greenbelt of the south river bank, on the south side adjacent to the newly established kindergarten over the road; As the eastern area is reserved for a crossing bridge, the entire site is 1.6m lower than the urban road in the outer side of the pedestrian entrance at the southeastern corner of the site. At the very beginning of design, designers have put our focus on considering how to make use of architectural operation to establish its inner compactness for the infrastructure supporting project on this banal and confined site,to bring positive impact on the river interfered by this giant concrete pump and sluice facility and its surrounding waterfront area.

设计师先根据场地条件对建筑的四部分功能作出空间配置,它们被分为平行于河面的前后错动的两组双层体量。
Designers firstly made space configuration according to the site conditions to realize its program. It is divided into two groups of two-story massing that is paralleled with the river and staggered back and forth.
北侧沿河一翼底层安排高、低压配电室和液压房这些机电设备,上层是设备控制室和站长室、会议室;南侧背河另一翼底层是值班、食堂、机修和库房等后勤用房,上层安排接待和各种管理办公用房。这样的空间配置逻辑是机电和后勤这些人不常驻留的空间在底层,而设备控制和办公管理这些人驻留的空间在二层,这样的上下差异并置也同样成为空间的赋形逻辑。这种差异赋形的关键是设计师对于结构、构造形式与空间氛围及场所特质之间的关系的探讨,设计师用木模板现浇混凝土剪力墙结构和轻钢结构这两种重和轻、粗狂和精细差异巨大的结构、构造系统来对应上下不同的空间使用状态:底层的机电和后勤空间是相对封闭的混凝土盒子,内外墙面和平顶布满犷的30厘米宽松木模板的清晰木纹,只留出必要的门窗洞口;
The ground floor along the river in the north is set with high and low voltage distribution room, a hydraulic room and other electromechanical devices and the upper floor is set with an equipment control room, a station master room and a meeting room; in the south,the ground floor at the back of the river is set with a duty room, a canteen and other logistics rooms for machine maintenance and warehousing. The upper floor is set with reception rooms and various administration offices. The reason for this kind of space configuration is to keep those spaces without long-term stay of staff such as electromechanical devices and logistics in the ground floor and those spaces with residing staff such as equipment control and office administration in the second floor. This configurational differentiation for both lower and upper floors is also the logic implemented for space shaping. It is mainly contributed to our discussion about the relationship among structure, tectonics,space atmosphere and site specificity. Designers adapt wooden template cast-in-site concrete shear wall structures and lightweight steel constructions which differ from each other greatly in weight and fineness senses to the different program on the lower and upper floor. The electromechanical and logistics space on the ground floor is designed as some relatively closed concrete boxes, with the inner and outer wall and flattop displaying distinct and rough wooden patterns of 30 cm loose wooden templates, leaving only necessary door and window openings.

二层由从底层基座上出挑的两条混凝土U型槽体结构所限定,其上部用钢梁拉结,各种房间被组织成六个大小不同、外表为波纹铝板的轻钢结构盒体分别放置在两条U型槽内,两两之间都有天井相隔,加上部分盒体与U槽侧墙的空隙,以及U槽两端的平台,使二层成为一个多孔的轻松宜人的空间。
The second floor is confined by two concrete U-shape groove structures protruding from the substrate of the ground floor. The upper part of them is tied by steel girders, and rooms are organized into six lightweight steel construction boxes of different sizes with whose surface made of corrugated aluminum sheets and then respectively put into the two U-shape grooves. Every two boxes are isolated by a patio. Together with the clearance between some boxes and U-shape groove side wall and the terraces at the two ends of the U-shape groove, second floor is shaped a penetrated, relaxed and comfortable space.

在结构、构造与空间关系的探讨中,设计师也充分结合了场地、流线两方面来强化空间体验。体量的错动在东南角的道路交叉口和西北角的沿河处分别形成了入口前区和一个面河的二层悬挑观景平台。
With regard to the relationship among structure, tectonics and space, designers have also fully integrated the site context and circulation so as to enhance spatial experience. The staggered massing forms an entrance front area and a overhang sight viewing terrace respectively in the road intersection at the southeastern corner and the area along the river at the northwestern corner.

所有的上下楼梯都以直跑形式布置在南北两翼体量之间的缝隙里,这样人们在建筑中上下穿行时始终会体验到在两翼内部和之间的缝隙里内外交织的感觉。控制与管理部分的入口在二层,可以从入口前区的室外楼梯拾级而上至缝隙中的二层平台进入南翼东端的门厅。
All the straight run stairs are placed in the clearance between the southern and northern massing, so that people can always have a feeling of shuttling freely on both inside or between the two volumes.The entrance into the control and management area is set on the second floor. It is possible to get access to the small lobby on the east end of southern massing from the platform where people can reach by taking open air stairs at the entrance front area.
由于底层机电部分的层高远大于后勤部分,所以在二层南北两翼之间自然形成了3米的错层格局,由南翼门厅经走廊再折回一个直跑楼梯,可以到达北翼二层一个居中横贯北翼体量并跨过南北两翼间的缝隙的玻璃顶空间,由其联系东西两端的站长室和控制室,并可俯视局部挑高的门厅。
As the ground floor story height for electromechanical space is much higher than the logistics space, a 3m high staggered space is naturally formed between the southern and northern parts on the second floor. Starting from the southern part lobby, passing through its corridor and another straight runs stair, people are oriented to a glass roof space traversing the northern massing and crossing the clearance between the southern and northern parts. This glass roof space is actually a foyer between station master room and control room, from which people can overlook the partly high ceiling lobby.

材料的运用延续了结构和构造上的逻辑,用对比但紧密的方式来参与空间赋形。30厘米超宽的40毫米厚碳化松木模板的使用是本项目清水混凝土工艺的关键,它使混凝土表面获得了颇具浮雕感的清晰木纹,并使清水混凝土具有了自然、粗犷的表情,二层两翼U形槽分别朝外侧的侧墙上的不规则洞口更强化了这种氛围。
The application of materials inherits the logic on structure and tectonics by shaping the space in a comparative but compact way. The super wide 30 cm and 40 cm thick carbonized pine templates are the key material in the bare concrete process of this project, which attaches clear wooden patterns with a reliefs feeling to the concrete surface and endows the bare concrete with natural and rough surface. This atmosphere is further emphasized by the irregular openings at the side walls of the second-level U-shape groove.

而南翼底层面向入口前区的东山墙以及中段食堂和机修房之间通道侧墙的整面镜面不锈钢又在一定程度上和二层U槽内的银灰色波纹铝板轻盈盒子一起平衡着混凝土的厚重感。
Meanwhile the concrete visual weight is balanced in some degree by the entire polished stainless steel sheet on the eastern gable wall facing the entrance front area, and on the corridor side wall between canteen and machine maintenance room on the southern part ground floor, and the silver gray corrugated aluminum plate light box inside the second-floor U-shape groove.
