“Possibly the project could be understood like a big horizontal altarpiece which lights up, protects and informs”—– Rafael de La-Hoz
We propose a Station that pretends to be a real Terminus Station.
Consequently it is not a place just to pass through, but a place where the passengers change their rate of movement and where the city of Huelva introduces itself to the traveller as well as the place where the city sees him off.
For this reason we have not proposed a simple halt where we get off a train which continues its journey, but rather a Terminal Station that has to be the end and the start of all travel.
We therefore propose, with all its consequences, a new urban development in a unique place that contributes to the creation of an urban growth of high quality in the city of Huelva.

THE BLANK SLATE
Maybe the Latin locution “Tabula Rasa” is which better summarize the dual concept of our project.
On the one hand, the first meaning is like a synonymous of oversight and at the same time of a beginning. This gestural action frees us of old prejudices and links to be able to begin the drawing of a new concept or the narration of a new time, once we have cleared the table.
Like this, overwhelmed by so many superfluous and the excessive architectures, made of arrogant arches with extravagant curves and with so much semeiotic of the power attributes, we propose an elementary architectural gesture, a plane, a ceiling, a board. It is a “Tabula Rasa”.
It is a simple plane, a democratic ceiling for receiving, protecting and giving shade.
It is an architraved Architecture of straight line that is situated on marshland soils with the solid ground is at a depth of 35 m and with the logic foundational of using the minimum number of possible supports.
Four pillars that supports a board, a plane, a perforated cover that transforms the shadow in half- light, and qualifies it as a shady place.
In front of the “triumphal arch” like an expression of the success, we propose the open door like a synonymous of welcoming. It is the entrance and the exit door in which we recognise all the Terminal Stations.
“The Umbría Door” is as a new time “Tabula Rasa” for a city in renovation.

建筑师提出了一个真正的总站方案,这里不仅仅是一个通过的地方,还是一个让人们改变速度,认识理解这个城市的地方。所以这里不是一个简单的停止地点。下车后还有其它的旅途。在端点处开启新旅程。
最后,建筑师决定在这样一个独特的地方创建一个高质量的,应合城市新发展的建筑。
空白的石板
拉丁俚语中的“白板”,也许可以更好的总结项目的双重概念。一方面,要在概念最初放下旧的偏见和联想,开始一个全新的描绘。把多余的不切实际的曲线,沉重的拱架构都去掉,只剩下一个基本的建筑姿态—–一个平面,板。这是一个“白板”。这是一个简单的平面,负责接纳民众,给予保护和庇荫。
建筑位于坚实的土地之上,依靠四大支柱体系拔地而起,高度达到35米,在这个大平面上,局部开孔,形成半明半暗的阴影。
再最前端如同“凯旋门”式的处理上,建筑师突出开放的概念,是这个终端站的出口和入口。“翁布里亚门”是城市更新中的一个新“白板”
