Design of a 9,400 sf restaurant Ann Arbor, MI. Synecdoche’s take on the classic 1920s bistro. This two-level restaurant features booth and cocktail dining on the first floor with an open kitchen and larder. The lower level has additional seating for private parties, with a classic wood panel bar as well as a catering kitchen. The entryway of cream paneled walls plays off against dark walnut finishes and leather detailing. Hand-painted black and white patterned tiles accentuate the open kitchen and larder on either side, leading to cozy velvet lined booths and a more secluded dining area at the back.
