Center for applied games in collaboration with Valery Chong. In an former tattoomuseum, a group of companies formed Applied Games. Creative minds in a booming market, with each and every one having their own wishes. Common divider were spaces for a quick chat and places to 'scrum'. We chose to create a common element to connect every floor. An element which would make you happy when you're at work. We tried a rocket, but that didn't work, in the end we ended up with plants hanging from the ceiling across all floors in the staircase. Complete with watering and artificial light, to create an oasis for everyone to see. We used COwerk for workspaces. This gave us the ability to create different setups because of the modularity. On the ground floor, we created an foyer, which by the principals was called the washingmachine. This place gave their principals the opportunity the quickly see updates on their games and see the process as well. It was also important that this was the place to make a statement, people are at the right adress. The result is a super luxurious epicentre, equiped with turnable sofas and high-tech equipment. Comfortable meeting places are created throughout the building, by using existing niches and open spaces, to preserve the classic character of the building. Because the pantry is not just a place to eat and drink, we created a livingroom. Several seats are used, to create endless possibilities for using this space. Yet the connecting green element across all floors is the most talked about in this design.
