One of the toughest challenges in this project was creating an intimate dining area within this striking Richard Roger’s building, situated next to London’s iconic Tate Modern. To achieve this we sourced grey oak, high quality Carrara marble and steely tones to create a comfortable yet high-end palette of finishes.
At Capricci, we showcased the quality of the produce available here in two ways. Firstly, we placed the kitchen directly at the centre of the restaurant, partially screened by the marble counter. Diners have the opportunity to see the chefs at work, or to enjoy an informal coffee or aperitivo at the bar. Secondly, playing with clean lines and grey tones, we designed shelving to display the goods available in an engaging and accessible ‘market area’.
