Westwood Commons consists of a shopping center renovation and a new ground-up retail and restaurant building. The new building is located close to the street with parking at the rear to reflect existing historic buildings while the existing building is at the back of the site. Grade changes from the new site to the existing site were overcome with stepping the floor elevations of the new building into three levels and connecting the parking lots. Exterior renovations to the existing building brought the materials and design language in line with the new construction.
