for providing the following description:

位于长乐路沿街公寓一楼的咖啡厅，百川咖啡新店设计。室内只有13平米，虽然不大，但是室外的台阶处也可以利用。入口使用了大的推拉门，通过开合的形式将室内外都纳入到了咖啡厅的空间里。上了一层台阶后可以看到在室内中央摆放着咖啡师的吧台。通过让吧台前端部分转45度的方式，以面朝入口通道处，来迎接顾客。

The tiny café, STREAM COFFEE is located on the first floor of an apartment along Changle Road. Though its indoor area is only 13 square meters, its outdoor steps have been perfectly utilized. At the entrance, a large sliding door integrates the interior and the exterior, thus enlarg-ing the whole space. One step up, there sits a bar in the center of the room. It is cater-cornered so that its front can point towards the entrance, in which case the customers can be greeted immediately upon their arrival.

柜台的转角处是客人和咖啡师初次接触的地方，上面陈列着咖啡师亲自筛选烘焙的咖啡豆和种类丰富的商品。咖啡师会给客人介绍豆子，必要时还可以打开吧台抽屉来确认豆子的香气进行选购。

Customers and the barista will have their first meet at the corner of the bar, where the barista will introduce to customers his carefully selected beans and a variety of products displayed there, and, if requested, customers may savor every distinctive aroma of the beans and purchase their favorite.

带抽屉的吧台是由实橡木加工而做成。处理时特意把边角打磨圆滑。这是为了让围在吧台前的人们能够自然而然地让手落到台面上，希望吧台可以成为交流的纽带。此外，客人会触碰到的桌子和长椅也采用了相同的处理，给人以温暖的感受，也和咖啡师的不锈钢工作台形成了对比。

The bar and its drawers are all made of solid oak and the edges have been polished smoothly to serve better as a place for communication, which allows people around the bar to naturally lay their hands on its surface. In addition, the tables and benches are also similarly designed to create a warm atmosphere, which forms a strong contrast with the barista’s stainless-steel work-table.

同样地、照明设计也沿用了区分咖啡师活动区和客人活动区的思路。为了确保工作亮度，在咖啡师上方做的是线形照明，而座位一侧的照明采用了射灯，为的是尽量在小小的空间内营造出安静的氛围。这种照明思路也延伸到了室外，外墙的中英双语标志也分别采用了不同的照明方法。

Similarly, the lighting at the barista’s workplace is different from that in the guest area. To ensure appropriate brightness during work, linear lighting is employed above the barista, while spotlights are used in the seating area to create an atmosphere as cozy as possible in that limited space. This lighting design is also adopted outdoors, with different lighting used in Chinese and English logos put up on the exterior walls.

虽然整体比较低调，却也传达出了咖啡师对咖啡的理解和情感，变成了具有百川特色的咖啡馆。

While overall the new café remains minimal and simple, it is one with strong Stream Coffee characteristics and is turned splendid by the barista’s passion and his impeccable taste.
