A philosophy of proximity food as a premise to design a restaurant.
Faced with such ambiguous information, it is impossible to cling to a too marked image, rather than to the constructive tradition.
Procure a modern and traditional image at the same time since the space where it is located has a marked sentimental value for our promoter.
We try to be honest with the materials, without artifices, without decorative elements that adorn the space for free.
Search for sincerity with materials and spaces. In this way, for example, an open kitchen is proposed to a support bar where space appears fully integrated into a whole.
We also look for materials that speak of tradition as the brick that forms the bar, the wood that forms the furniture and the iron that appears in many details.
It is considered convenient to create three types of spaces within the restaurant; a wide part of sitting dining room, a high area with bar support for a space with greater rotation and a reserved space table.
The place has a very luminous façade, which is why it is sought to control the natural light intensity with regulating elements such as curtains, however, we consider it a virtue, so we seek to open it to the outside, both to invite to enter, and so that once inside you have a feeling of spaciousness and luminosity.
In terms of artificial lighting, it is sought to mark those most important elements, such as the bar area as the main element that emanates a residual light, more punctual light on the tables of the guests supported by wall sconces and by projectors to illuminate the entrance as an element highlight.
Within the sincerity that arises, it is sought to integrate the facilities within the space so that it is not considered a problem to show them without hiding them. We consider that these are part of a whole that occupy their own space, simply hidden with some lined strips that will help us acoustically.
The walls and floor have been given a cement, neutral and industrial finish. As a canvas on which to highlight the rest of the elements introduced.
A homogeneous image within the diners and work area that makes the space have a more marked identity.
