The Demyanov homestead is a historic place. Here lived and worked Pyotr Ilyich Chaikovsky. The composer’s heritage is highly valued, but it was decided not to turn the territory into a museum. We have created an interactive musical space, a rope park and a concert stage on water. The concept of the Demyanovsky park recreational area improvement is aimed at a considerate renewal of its territory, which spreads from the historical site – Demyanov estate – to the west, to the Sestra river side. A special attention was paid to creating different comfortable improved zones which would distribute the socio-cultural activity not only along the main beams of the walkways, but through the adjoining secondary branch lines. In 2018 this place underwent some massive improvement works – a walkway was laid, a bicycle route was equipped (linking it with the lower bicycle route of the Klinsky city park of culture and leisure “Sestroretsky”), light lines were installed, a birch grove was planted, some hardscape elements were introduced (a decorative umbrella with a park fountain), shades, park couches, bins; an interactive musical space for children was equipped. On June 1 this year the ponton stage was opened on the Sestra river, and a rope extreme park in July.
