Facelift was the main duty that had to be done on this already existing small restaurant. The bar counter, i.e. the serving unit and the kitchen remained in its previous place, but the guest space was given a whole new format. A masculine interior was the request from the customers (three good friends). The angular shapes, the dark blue color and the choices of materials are trying to reflect that. Plenty of blue is lightened by the yellow cover that appears at the front of the counter. The floor was given a microcement covering. The huge ceiling height with the unique slatted decoration turned the space friendlier. The cooling fans were also placed there. We did not touch the well- functioning heating and the wet areas during the renovation. The exterior windows were previously plastered. We scrapped off he paint from these to allow the original wood surface to emerge. When designing the lighting, consideration was given more to making the place more cozy than to bright lights. Sofor selecting the lamps were extra important and we placed special focus on them. We were looking for different vintage furniture shops for choosing the right, suitable chairs for the place and finally managed to collect the right quantity from several different suppliers. The other custom furniture are made of oak. The patterned upholstery was selected together with the owners. Plant decorations are placed in shelves fixed to the ceiling. These are closed section frames with an oak surface.
