RUST architects has used basic elements and rough materials to create a street-food atmosphere at the new Tel Aviv location of Hiro Ramen, a restaurant chain developed by Chef Israel Aharoni.
Hiro is the new restaurant by Israeli well known Chef Israel Aharoni and was open just a month ago at a prime location in the center of the city. Chef Aharoni is the first chef to bring Asian food to Israel culinary market more then 30 years ago.
The new place serves ramens and street Asian food, there for the design includes basic street elements and low height furniture, next to basic materials and rough finishes.
The menu is a mixture of typical food from few Asian countries.
In order to find one element which familiar with many Asian cultures, we decided to use fabric flags above the main bar, all printed by graphical language of Asian products icons and even the face of the chef, which is kind of special. The flags are waving slowly and emphasize the outdoor feeling.
Some of the walls are made of tin and some were built like a basic shed in a village, a wall made of any available constructive material (tin, breaks, some concrete and even roofing tiles).
All the interior, include the furniture and also the lights, designed at our studio especial for the restaurant.
