At Framework Studio we do not have a specific style. Style is driven by zeitgeist, inspiration in various forms, a potential project and its possibilities and the demands of the client.

This is what we do since the day we opened our doors on Industrieweg 29. We deliver concept, design and realisation for private, commercial and public spaces. Spaces with strong identities that speak loud and clear in order to attract, energize and inspire people. Our studio is full of highly motivated and engaged talents. We love to inspire, touch and wow with our spaces, because wow is a language everybody in the world speaks.

Beyond Space firmly believes architectural thinking applies well beyond matters of space. Drawing from a range of interests, disciplines, and experiences, we seek to forge new connections to allow for the unexpected. We combine creative entrepreneurship with a solid grounding in our discipline of origin, and couple our unconventional ideas with intuitive design. We sit comfortably where art, architecture and product development meet, and mix buildings and spaces and objects.

With over 20 years of design practice we first learned how to make functional and ergonomic designs, how to make things really work. Then practiced concepts, aesthetics and identities: telling stories and creating mental atmospheres. And finally became competent in branding and spatial brand design: about design’s surplus value of reflecting a brand's values, DNA and identity.

In 1998 the office was founded by Hans Achterbosch. Bart Zantman, then recently graduated at TUDelft, joined the team in 2005. After a successful cooperation Hans and Bart became business-partners in 2007.

Monadnock A time-lapse film tracks the evolution of a city over a period of a hundred years, revealing the fact that the urban fabric consists of elements that alter at different rates. The buildings change very slowly. They form static structures that are able to survive several eras, uses and trends. Buildings are slow and constitute the solid material of the city. Similar to a Monadnock, the type of mountain that is formed by the disappearance of all the surrounding material through a long process of erosion. Only the hardest rock remains.
