Architectural design company based in Bulgaria

IBUKU is a team of young designers, architects and engineers exploring groundbreaking ways of using bamboo to build homes, hotels, schools, and event spaces in Bali, Indonesia. We are creating a new design vocabulary based on this one material and exploring the way sustainable architecture and design can redefine luxury. The materials we use, the people we work with, and the land we build on all inform our design process. The traditional skills of Balinese craftsmen, combined with our design ideas and modern engineering enable us to create original bamboo structures that meet the needs of a diverse clientele.

We work out of context and have an analytical and pragmatic approach to create designs that have meaning and purpose but often go against the grain of conventionality.

An acronym for Integrating Design Into Nature, IDIN Architects was founded in 2004. We perceive ‘nature’ in two ways. Firstly, nature can be defined as the ecology around us. Secondly, it can also refer to different mannerisms and personalities. The design philosophy and concentration of IDIN is to merge this sense of surrounding, the ‘natures’, to the architectural aesthetic. Designers should have a keen and strong ability to observe and feel

In 2002, in Santiago, Chile, Ivan founded an inter-disciplinary practice that encompasses architecture, arts and design. Since then he has been concurrently working as an academic, teaching architecture and design in various Chilean universities. As an architect he has participated in several competitions and has been commissioned a number of projects such as private residences, social housing and industrial offices. He also runs a construction company which enables him to build his own work. His industrial and object designs range from lighting to furniture. His work has been presented in seminars and exhibited in national and international design fairs. In 2010 he ventured into the realm of arts, achieving two solo exhibitions and several art projects.

For more than 15 years IVANKA has been constantly searching the innovative applications of concrete. Apart from facade systems, interior applications, urban and outdoor elements, the company manufactures numerous highly customized solutions.
