Experimental craft procedures — personally overseen by Michal Hagara, selected materials, processing of high artistry and pure forms make up an exceptional set of artistic objects with striking aesthetic value. All the avant-garde works resulting from this delicate process are created in company’s own workshop.

Exactly seven days after we finished studies at Liberec, Faculty of Arts and architecture, we have established architectural studio The Mjölk architects with a little help of Czech-Swedish dictionary. After several years this crazy boyish dream has become a well-known architectural company. Our architectural style characterizes the conceptual simplicity, truthfulness and youthful playfulness. We cooperate not only with private investors, but also with some municipalities. We are interested in what is happening around us. We organize the film festival Kino Liberec and a series of cross-country races called Divočina. Except colorful portfolio of projects we spread our activities by teaching in Liberec, and the participating in the Czech and international workshops and lectures.

Max was exposed to the foundations of design from an early age and worked at his father's practice in his native Rome. He completed a Masters in architecture at (university) and later established his own practice also in Rome. In 2007 he moved to New Zealand and worked with Athfield Architects before establishing mc architecture studio ltd.

of the studio is defined as interdisciplinary work relating present-day reality to local identity. When creating the architectural content to fit and fulfil the available empty space, we always consider the values of the past and environmental concerns as well as modern architectural views and trends.
