该项目是对一个公园的设计。它最终的设计团队是OMA与当地的一个设计团队mia lehrer + associates共同完成的。当时，其实还有另外三个优秀的团队与他们竞争，不过最终因为他们独特的设计风格和理念赢得了该公园的最终设计权。

该公园的场地面积约为两英亩，它为与洛杉矶市的中心位置，因此在刚开始便引起了市民们的关注。该场地在过去好长一段时间都是闲置不用的，因此，在该项目中，设计团队希望能够利用这片土地为洛杉矶市提供一个崭新的绿色空间，这里不仅要作为当地人们的休闲活动区域，而且也要有足够的场地来举办各种文艺活动，以及其他聚餐类的活动等。在OMA的

competing against three other architecture practices, international firm OMA and locally based landscape architects mia lehrer + associates have submitted their entry for the development of the two-acre first & broadway (FAB) civic park in downtown los angeles.

the coveted plot of land currently sits unused and the aim of the project aims to provide downtown LA with a versatile green space that celebrates art, food and engagement. OMA’s proposal sees a park which frames a central plaza characterized by an iconic and playful arrangement of sculpted and reflective canopies that provide shade and light. additionally, planted greenery such as oak and sycamore trees will be seen to relate to its southern californian context.
