北京CBD文化中心位于朝阳区的中央商务中心区内，中央公园北侧，地理位置优越。邻近三环，交通便利。地处的中央商务中心区将会是北京一流的商务区之一，是经济发展，产业聚集及城市规划的重要区域。

Located in Beijing CBD, Chaoyang district, Beijing CBD Cultural Centre is sitting at a prominent location directly facing the new central park. With a location adjacent to the third ring road of the city, it is serviced by a convenient transportation network and with the CBD area as a whole, which is going to become one of the top business districts in Beijing in terms of economy, business and urban planning.

文化设施项目的概念从两个独立的镜面不锈钢体量发展而出，两侧的体量由一个透明，渗透感的玻璃中庭相连接，中庭里有多座造型独特，雕塑感十足的楼梯，连接着建筑物中所有公共空间。

The project is developed from a concept of two separate volumes of mirror-finished stainless steel, linked by a transparent and permeable glassing atrium containing several sculptural staircases that connects all the public functions inside the building.

两侧的主体量包含了建筑的主要功能：西区承担了表演空间功能，东区则承担了会议中心，以及若干大型多功能空间。东西区在空间上被拉开，连接两个区域的玻璃中庭，壮观而通透，不仅使得塔楼和公园能充分渗透进入建筑，同时也张开怀抱，欢迎来访的客人。

These two main volumes are defined by different functions; the volume to the west is mainly of performance-space use, and the volume to the east is of convention-centre use with a few large-scale functional spaces. The two volumes are seemingly pulled apart with a spectacular glassing-designed atrium in between, aims to merge the architecture and the park altogether, being open and welcome to the public and visitors.

文化中心有如一面城市之镜，一块屏幕或一张画布，周边的公园，其他建筑，来往的人流，当代城市喧嚣的生活，不断地通过镜面外墙，反射在建筑上。

TheCultural Centre can be taken as an urban mirror, a piece of screen or canvas.The urban elements such as the park, the surrounding buildings and thepedestrians passing by are all becoming a part of the narrative, a story constantlybeing told through the reflection on the mirror façade.
