How important is it to get the correct balance between task lighting and mood lighting?

We'd say it is crucial to get the correct balance between task lighting and mood lighting. However, we are talking about two different things here. We do not recommend using task lighting to create mood lighting and vice versa, we wanted to point this out because this is a common mistake you can see in many homes. 

我们要说的是，在任务照明和情绪照明之间取得正确的平衡是至关重要的，然而我们在这里讨论的是两件不同的事情。在这里我们不建议用任务照明来创建情绪照明，反之亦然。指出这一点是因为这是一个常见的错误，并且你可以在许多家庭中看到这种现象。

Let's understand task lighting as the lighting you need when you cook, chop vegetables, wash dishes in the kitchen and the light you need when you do make up in the bathroom. Whereas mood lighting is the light used to help create a cosy and relaxing environment in your living room, dining room and bedroom. It's not necessary for it to be too bright and/or direct for the eyes. It's better when this kind of light is indirect.

让我们把任务照明理解为在厨房做饭、切菜、洗碗时所需的照明和在浴室化妆时所需的照明。而情绪照明作为一种灯光，有助于在客厅、餐厅、卧室创造一个舒适、放松的环境，不必太明亮，相对柔和的亮度会比较好。

What are the

main types of lighting used in residential interiors and what kinds of effects can be achieved?

住宅室内照明的主要类型是什么？能达到什么样的效果？

Generally speaking, we can talk about downlights, they can be fixed and adjustable. These kind of light fixtures are typically used to provide general lighting in foyers, living rooms, dining rooms and accent lights to light artworks. 

Floor lamps and table lamps are normally placed in living rooms and dining rooms which are very helpful for indirect lighting and create cosy environments.

一般来说，我们说的筒灯，是既可以固定又可以调节的，通常用于提供在门厅，客厅和餐厅的照明，并强调艺术光照。客厅一般都有落地灯和台灯，餐厅使用些间接照明可以营造出舒适的环境。

How are the dramatic improvements in lighting technology and the new energy efficiency regulations affecting the way that we are able to light our homes?

照明技术的显著提高和新能源法规是如何影响我们的家庭照明方式的？

We really don't see many things happening in a negative light, people are getting use to new technologies, as part of marketing strategies, many companies promote their projects very aggressive, taking the mind of the customers and somehow pushing them to consume and to use the new technology. This situation has both positive and negative effects; on one hand, the technology is getting more accessible for any customer, which is something good, using/applying new technology in our homes are not a matter of luxury lighting at all.

为此我们并没有看到一些负面信息，人们正在逐渐适应并习惯新的技术。作为营销策略的一部分，许多公司正在积极地推广他们项目，给客户积极分享新的技术所带来的好处来推动消费者消费和接纳新技术。这种情况既有积极的影响，也有消极的影响；从好得一面讲，这项技术越来越被客户广泛接受，在家中使用新技术照明已不再是件奢侈的事情。

On the other hand, while technology is getting accessible, the negative part comes from the fact that we must get many things and other technology in our homes such as high speed and stable internet connection, smartphones and smart tablets to be able to operate and control the lights only.

另一方面讲，虽说新的技术越来越普及，但是不便的是我们要通过许多其他的东西和技术来支撑这些新技术照明，例如高速稳定的互联网连接、需要配备智能手机、智能平板电脑，才能操控灯光的照明。

In regards to the topic about energy efficient regulations, we can say that for residential projects the final customers do not need to think too much about it. They can get what is available in the stores and read some information included in the packaging of the products. The lighting manufacturers are the first filter within the whole process who are able and responsible to update their products and to offer new lighting sources that comply with energy efficiency regulations. The second filter could be the lighting consultant, why? Because the lighting consultant will make sure all the light fixtures comply with the latest energy efficiency regulations.

对于住宅项目，客户一般都不会考虑太多关于节能法规的话题，最终客户只会根据需求大致了解下店中产品的介绍和产品包装上所涵盖的一些信息。照明制造商在整个过程中起到第一道过滤的作用，负责更新其产品并提供符合能效法规的新光源。而第二道过滤则是照明的设计。为什么？因为照明顾问需确保所有灯具符合最新的节能法规。
