Project Background
黄浦江是上海最大的河流,也是长江中一条重要的支流,它像条蜿蜒起伏的巨龙,从吴淞口流入东海。
黄浦江也是一条多功能河流,具有饮水,航运,渔业,排洪,旅游等诸多方面的价值。
在过去的几十年中,上海港已发展成为中国吞吐量最大的港口。
黄浦江不仅是上海的母亲河,而且涵盖了上海的众多景点,使其成为重要的旅游景点。
Huangpu River is the largest river in Shanghai and the significant tributary of the Yangtze, ‘wriggles like an undulating dragon’ from Wusong to the East Sea. The Huangpu is a multi-functional river with the values of drinking water, shipping, fishery, flood discharge, tourism and many other aspects. In the past several decades, the Shanghai Port has been developed to be the port with the largest throughput in China. The Huangpu River is not only the mother river of Shanghai, but also assembles the splendid attractions of the city which makes it an important tourism attraction.
在总体规划上,黄浦江区域有三个平行的界面,包括浦西-历史街区界面;
黄浦江-内河运输界面;
浦东-生态风貌界面。
On the master plan level, there are three parallel frontages of Huangpu River, including West Bund as Historic Frontage; The Huangpu River as the Transportation Frontage and East Bund as the Ecologic Frontage.
黄浦江上“慢行系统”由三条轨道组成,包括低线亲水漫步道,中线林间跑步道和高线堤上骑行道。
水上游览线强调水陆联通,让市民游客畅意感受两岸风貌。
预留的空轨线路作为慢行系统的特色补充,保证整体空间的开放通达。
慢行三线与水上游览线、预留空轨线共同成为东岸滨江的“五线谱”,统领多重滨江体验。
The ‘slow moving system’ over the HuanPu river is consisted of three tracks, including the low-line walking track by the river, middle-line running track, and high-line riding track. The water tour line emphasize the connection between the water and land, so that the citizens can enjoy the scenes along the two sides. The reserved air rail line is a supplement to the slow-moving system, ensuring open access to the overall space. The slow moving three-line, the water tour line and the reserved air track line will become the“staff of the East Coast Waterfront” and lead the multiple water front experience.
目前,杨浦大桥滨江绿地只是黄浦江两岸促进充满活力城市生活的广阔愿景的一部分。
上海市在浦东一侧开始建设大型的21公里线性公园,将城市与滨水融为一体。
一系列新的线性公园和园区道路的构建,帮助在本地社区和黄浦江之间建立了新的生活界面,作为自然而城市的环境下日常活动的一部分。
这也为黄浦江上废弃的工业化滨江区域创造了一种新的生活气息,重塑滨江在上海城市及其标志性的天际线的形象。
Currently, YangPu Bridge Waterfront Greenland is only part of a wider vision to promote a vibrant urban life on the banks of Huangpu River. The municipality of Shanghai began constructing a large scale 21 km linear park in Pudong integrating the city with its river’s edge. A new series of linear parks and paths helped established a new living interface between local neighborhoods and the river as part of a natural but urban environment for everyday activity. This has created a new breath of life on the previously unoccupied industrialized banks of the river reclaiming the Huangpu water edge to the city of Shanghai and its symbolic skyline.

Project Narrative
项目位于浦东黄浦江沿岸E8单元,西起歇浦路,南至规划滨江路,东至4805厂,北至黄埔江,陆域面积约37511平方米(包括杨浦大桥投影部分约8836平方米),水域部分约1989平方米(包含码头平台等)。
The Project is located at unit 8 along the Pudong HuangPu Waterfront, with XiePu Road to the west, Bin Jiang Road to the south, Factory 4805 to the east and HuangPu River to the North, covering a land area of about 37,511 square meters (including 8,836 square meters projected area under the Yangpu Bridge and water area around 1,989 square meters (dock platform area included).
黄浦江长113千米,作为一条横贯上海的河流。
最早于战国时期(公元前475年至221年)开浚。
直到20世纪,由于其独特的地理位置,该河流一直是码头,货栈,仓库,工业工厂和造船的理想之地。
时过境迁,需要搭建桥梁以实现更便捷的交通。
The Huangpu River, a 113 kilometer-long river flowing through Shanghai was first excavated during the Warring States Period (475 BC - 221 BC). Up until the 20th century and due to its unique geographical location the river was an ideal location for docks, stacks, warehouses, industrial factories and shipbuilding. Eventually bridges were needed for more efficient access.

1993年10月,横跨黄浦江两岸的杨浦大桥连接上海浦西的杨浦区和浦东新区,成为世界上最长的斜拉桥之一。
桥体本色原为灰色未上漆,后来在上海的千禧年庆典中涂成红色,至今一直保持其标志性的火焰色。
除了特别的色彩以外,本项目的灵感也源自于杨浦大桥的力量与张力。
In October 1993, YangPu Bridge stretching the Huangpu River opened as one of the longest cable-stayed bridges in the world connecting Puxi’s YangPu District with Pudong. Originally grey and unpainted, YangPu Bridge was coated red for the city’s millennial celebration and has remained its iconic flame color to this day. Asides from the unique color, the design idea is also inspired by the Power and Strength of Yangpu Bridge.

防汛控制方案 |Flood Control Options
现存防洪堤满足防洪需求,但未与周边景观产生交流和融合,刻板生硬地阻隔了观水、亲水等活动的可能性。
设计结合自身形式和特点,打破了传统的防洪规则,通过新颖的设计,实现了陆地与水体的最佳联系。
设计将7米防洪控制线与景观竖向设计有机的结合,将防洪堤巧妙地融合进景观中去,和部分观景平台、建筑边界以及湿地实验区融为一体,模糊防洪堤的痕迹,弱化防洪堤的生硬感,防洪堤不再是明显的一道围墙,加强了陆地与水体的沟通和联系,一改呆板僵硬的驳岸设计,创造更灵活、自然的亲水空间。
The previous existing flood control meets the needs but disconnects with the surrounding area, and rigidly block the possibility of the connection to the water. The design combines its own form and characteristics, explores the traditional flood control rules, and achieves the good connection between land and water. The design considered the 7-meter flood control line with the vertical design of the landscape, blending the flood control embankment into the landscape, blending with viewing platforms, architecture boundaries and wetland experimental areas, blurring the traces of flood control, weakening the hard feeling of the flood control levee, the flood control levee is no longer an obvious wall, but strengthens the communication and connection between the land and the water body, and changes the stiff and rigid bank design to createa more flexible and natural hydrophilic space.
设计立意于打造注重参与性与体验性的 “家庭公园 ”,并将生态意义结合这一理念贯彻设计的始终。
设计拓展创新多种学习、娱乐活动,结合场地设计、建筑规划及地形建设,创造生态、亲水的休闲娱乐空间和沟通场所,并建立兼具教育、学习、观察和研究为一体的生态知识学习基地。
建议活动项目有大城市钓鱼、黄浦江“游侠”,时尚创客空间、艺术前哨、黄浦江公园野趣、黄浦江水岸步行之旅以及黄浦江“永续性”周日等。
让公园真正地成为“大家的公园”,黄浦江成为“孩子的黄浦江”,其不仅仅是具有良好绿地生态系统的公园,更是兼具教育、学习、观察、研究、及可持续发展的生态型科普基地。
The design is intended to create a “family park” that emphasizes participatory and experiential nature, and integrates the ecological meaning, to explore a variety of learning and entertainment activities, combined with site design,architectural planning and terrain construction, create ecological and hydrophilic leisure and entertainment spaces and communication places, and establish an ecological knowledge learning base that integrate education,learning, observation and research. Recommended activities include Big cityfishing, Huangpu River “ranger”, Fashion maker space, Art outpost, River park wild fun, Waterfront walking tour and “Sustainability” sundays. The park truly become a "park for everyone", Huangpu River becomes the " River of the Children", which is not only a park with a good green space ecosystem, but also an ecological science base for education, study, observation,research, and sustainable development.
保留的现有结构 Existing Structures to Retain
两个在20世纪初建造的木制结构的仓库,分别将改建成为儿童和青少年学习中心,儿童生物多样性活动中心,长江三角洲和湿地研究区以及室内/室外冒险与发现游乐场。
人们可徜徉其中,通过各种有趣的体验型户外活动,探索领略黄浦江-长江生态系统的神奇与美妙。
Two early 20th century wooden structure warehouses ar
e planned to become a Children& Young Adult Learning Center, Children Biodiversity Activity Center,Yangtze Delta & Wetland Study Area and an indoor/outdoor adventure and discovery playground. People can explore and enjoy the wonders of the Huangpu River-Yangtze River ecosystem through a variety of fun and experiential outdoor activities.

鉴于杨浦大桥滨江绿地作为上海在滨江改造的起点(和终点)的重要性,滨江绿地的整合包括河道两岸的总体规划和愿景。
Given the importance of YangPu Bridge Waterfront Greenland as the starting (and ending point) for Shanghai’s waterfront presence, the integration of the greenland includes the overall master plan and vision for both sides of the river. The master plans ‘main path’, ‘discovery path’ and ‘sports path’ continue through the greenland and are adapted to blend with the engineering vernacular found with the bridge.
景观所扮演的并非是服务于建筑的配合角色,而是对场地起到规划和主导作用的统筹角色。
设计的特点概括:
1.场地设计与杨浦大桥、江景相辅相成,遥相呼应;
2.建筑与景观完美融合,浑然一体;
3.通过竖向设计解决防洪限制,丰富河岸的地形变化及功能需求,弱化防洪堤的生硬感;
4.采用着重以功能和生态为主要目标的景观设计手法,丰富场地的参与性和体验感。
The landscape design does not play a role in serving, but rather in planning and leading the design. The characteristics of the design includes:
1. The landscape design was initially inspired by the Yangpu Bridge and the Huang Puriver site view;
2. The architecture and landscape seamlessly and harmoniously integrated;
3. The landscape design solution helped to solve the flood control restrictions,enrich the terrain changes and functional requirements of the river bank, and weaken the hard feeling of the flood control levees;
4. The landscape design techniques are applied to focus on function and ecology as the main goal, enriching the participation and experience of the venue.

斜坡步道和人行天桥连接着高低不一、层次错落的台地花园与桥体相得益彰。
Multi-leveled cascading gardens are connected by ramps and pedestrian bridges that echo the Bridge itself.
火焰红色混凝土墙的设计灵感来源于大桥的力量感与张力,墙体从滨江逐级抬升,作为45公里的黄浦江防洪体系的一部分。
Flame red concrete walls inspired by the power and strength of the bridge are terraced away from the river’s edge aspart of a 45 km Huangpu River Restructuring Flood Control Initiative.

Marsh and meadows, terraced lawns with red-themed Sapiumtrees (Sapium sebiferum), Japanese Blood Grass (Imperata cylindrica 'rubra') and Muhly Grass (Muhlenbergia capillaris) integrate two amphitheaters with a network of courtyards and paths.

项目旨在营造一个充满参与性与体验性的“家庭绿地”,一个融合教育、探索、运动、休闲、观景等丰富功能的开放绿地。
设计巧妙借用、顺势利用杨浦大桥的体量特点,将其视作大型“雕塑”,并将其利落的线条和构成感十足的形态引入场地的景观设计中,创造集美观性、功能性、趣味性和体验性于一体的绿地空间.景观设计极具现代感,通过简练的几何造型和丰富的竖向变化与建筑完美的合而为一,创造出不同的功能体验区。
教育和娱乐活动的结合有助于表现黄浦江及其桥梁与现代演变中的上海城市之间的生态和经济价值;
也有助于提高人们的意识,展现了工程奇观与生态、教育体系的完美融合。
The project is planned to be a participatory and experiential “Family Greenland”, an open greenland that integrates rich functions such as education, exploration, sports, leisure and scenic. The design cleverly borrowed and used the physical characteristics of the Yangpu Bridge which is regarded as a large-scale “sculpture”, and its neat lines and framing forms are introduced into the landscape design of the site to create the greenland with aesthetics, functionality and experience. The landscape design is very modern,creating a different functional experience zone through a combination of concise geometric shapes and rich vertical changes and in fuse with architectural perfectly. The education and entertainment activities help narrate the ecological and economic value the Huangpu River and its bridges have with a modern evolving Shanghai. This helps support awareness that a marvel of engineering can work in unison with ecology and education.
本项目也在场地整合、可达性提升,以及城市文化传承等方面,对于其他各区的建设起到了重要的示范作用。
同时,本项目也对中国滨水工业遗址以及城市更新方面所作的探索具有借鉴意义。
The project has also played an important demonstration role for the construction of other districts in terms of site integration, accessibility improvement, and urban cultural heritage. Meanwhile, it also provides significance reference value in the exploration of waterfront industrial sites and urban renewal development throughout China.
