The architectural firm Ilg Santer Architekten was founded in 2007 in Zurich. Since then, Ilg Santer Architekten have completed a wide range of projects from bridge construction to urban planning scale. The list of works includes award-winning bridge structures, studies on the urban development of Zurich, and large-scale buildings with public appeal such as the new research center Biozentrum in Basel. Ilg Santer is currently focusing on the design of the new Physics Building of the ETH Zurich and the new Hall 1 of the Olma trade fair in St. Gallen, both in Switzerland.

Born in Tokyo in1977, received his Master and Bachelor of Architecture from The University of Tokyo. He joined 'Tokyo Canal Project' and collaborated on urban research, proposed on urban design, held joint exhibition with several architects. Yoshitaka received several awards and honors, including 'Design Top10 Award for Emergent Architect in the world' from BUILD,UK in 2016.In 2016 Singapore Institute of Architects nominated him for 'SIA-GETZ Architecture Prize for Emergent Architecture in Asia' . The practice got ‘Construction Awards-Best International Architectural Practice – Japan' from UK in 2017. In 2018, they won ‘ Global Excellence Awards-Most Innovative Architecture Firm in Japan’ from UK.
